"I wish I could fly into a thunderstorm" is my attempt to share the desire to take flight into a thunderstorm, a visceral yearning experienced while standing on the beach with the storm wind burnishing the skin. In this moment, the warm winds work their magic, drying the sweat from the humidity and creating a white wall of sounds with the rushing sea and winds.

Closing my eyes, I surrender to the sensory experience—the wind pushing against me, the exhilarating sounds of nature. The painting endeavours to convey the palpable longing to grow wings and soar into the heart of the storm, an escape from the earthly confines. Viewers are invited to join me in this dreamscape where the boundary between reality and imagination blurs.

As we celebrate the theme of "Too Bloody Hot", let's lean into the magic of the tropical weather and revel in the fanciful notion of taking flight.
